One of the offshoots of that experience was the backlinks that I gained. I did not purposely set out to get backlinks for my site which incidentally had not even been online at that time. Still, after a few months I checked out my backlinks and there they were, backlinks from my mailing list. If I know Internet Marketers, they had already tried this. They flood the web with spam that are automated. It is good that the mailing lists have good spam control.
